Our routine is going pretty well now after we have learned what works best for us. We spend our nights for the most part in parking lots of stores and restaurants that allow for RV overnight parking. We have spent a few nights in truck stops – parked next to the big trucks. This was our plan all along because it saves quite a bit on parking in RV parks which can be expensive.

Our motorhome has all the conveniences of home. Hot water, refrigerator, stove, oven (when we have electricity), shower, sink and facilities. In the morning we eat our oatmeal cooked on the stove. For lunch we either eat in the RV or if we will be gone for the day, we take our lunch with us. For dinner, we cook the basic meals we eat at home.

We usually travel about 3-5 hours at a time when we are driving. This driving charges up the batteries in the RV which allow us to park for a day or two and have electical lights, water pump, and electical plugs to charge our items i.e. phone, camera, etc.

There is an onboard generator which would allow us to run the house air conditioners, oven and microwave, and it would also charge the house batteries, but the starter went out on it and we haven’t quite figured out why the new one we installed isn’t working. But the weather has been so nice that we haven’t really used the air conditioners and have gotten by fine without the stove and microwave.

After being parked for a couple days we find a place where we can dump the tanks which hold the waste water from the shower, sink, and facilities. Sometimes this is free and sometimes we pay a minimal charge.
So God has blessed our trip abundantly so far. We have had nice visits with old friends and some new. We have eaten really well on our trip, thanks to invitations from others, being able to cook along the way, and some gift certificates from friends to restaurants. Our traveling has gone well and the RV has performed admirably. God has allowed us to get along well and to enjoy fellowship with one another. We have had opportunities to witness to some people along the way and share our story with many people. Should we be surprised when God blesses us so abundantly above what we ask or think?
