The main purpose of this site is to encourage and exhort other Christians who want to live in accordance to Scripture in the following areas. These beliefs were standard practice for most followers of God throughout history, but have been pushed aside in our present time.

  • Children – God should control the number of children born
  • Marriage – ends only at death; remarriage to another following divorce is adultery
  • Modesty – a foundational principle found throughout all of scripture
  • Money – debt is a judgment of God and not a blessing
  • Music – there is right and wrong music

Some others topics that will be discussed:

  • Family – following God tends to divide family, but unites disciples of Christ
  • Separation – the need to protect ourselves from the wrong influences around us
  • Suffering – a Scriptural way to gauge our obedience to Christ
  • Scripture – understanding the continuity of Scripture to rightly divide the Word
  • Health – a practical indicator of our obedience to a Scriptural lifestyle
  • Division – denominations and labels are often divisive

Let me introduce myself. My name is Brant Morie

  • Background – Born in Texas (1958), raised in Tennessee (until 1970), and grew up in Oklahoma
  • Heritage – Father was a minister, mother was a nurse, one older brother and one younger sister
  • Christian Life – Became a Christian at the age of 8, totally dedicated to God’s service at the age of 18, called to preaching ministry at the age of 20
  • Family – Married at 23 years old, father of ten children
  • Ministry – A pastor helping to start two churches; traveling ministry with family preaching and singing
  • Business – mostly self-employed in various businesses
  • Interesting fact – Had the opportunity to build our family home with the help of our children
  • Currently – Live in the family home on 20 acres in Oklahoma with my youngest son. My wife left the family in 2008 and obtained a divorce through the courts.

My Testimony:

In my early twenties, God lead me to make several significant changes that were different from the way my family and church had taught. These changes were in the areas of music, healthy living, separation from certain activities, modest dress, marriage permanence, the use of birth control, and money and debt. These changes greatly impacted and changed my life and became foundational in how I lived and ministered from that point forward.

Through the years I came to realize these views from Scripture that I had embraced, for the most part had been the standard of practice of Christians through the ages. But these views had been laid aside beginning around the turn of the 19th century and when I began to embrace them, they no longer were considered relevant by most Christian leaders.

As the years have gone by, I have seen more clearly the significance of these views from Scripture and also how they continue to be neglected in many churches and among many Christians.

It would be an honor to hear from you if you want to write. Your thoughts, ideas and comments are appreciated. I read all correspondence I receive though time sometimes does not allow me to respond to each one.
